My name is Judy. I used to support my bad habits by writing advertising copy for a large retailer. Then I needed a rest, so I retired. I had some unformed notions about world travel, learning a new language, yada yada. So silly. Life just sweeps you along, whether you want to go there or not. But what I did do was start a blog chronicling the capricious, often bewildering, behavior of my grandchildren, for their eventual amusement and edification.
Since then I’ve written about other stuff too, just so people would know I have a life of my own, so to speak. When the Beatles sang “When I’m Sixty-four” in 1967, I don’t imagine they actually believed they’d get there one day and neither did I. But time shifts and there you are. You have kids without really a clue and before you know it one of them has a kid and it’s just a slippery slope after that.
I had these three daughters and then suddenly I had six grandkids. I didn’t ask for grandkids, nobody consulted me, but it changed my life and now here I am with a life that is not what I expected at all. I don’t know what I expected, but not this.
